What drives you to create?
At 5, I created a deckchair for my Barbie with a pack of gum and two straws. I’ve been a designer ever since.
What inspires you?
I don’t usually get inspired; art and design are part of who I am. Inspiration comes from my experiences, the world around me, and what I’ve learned. That’s why every object I create is a part of my character.
How do you bring your works to life?
Material is what gives me ideas. Touching, seeing, feeling something concrete projects a finished product before my eyes. I usually don’t use paper to draw, but to create shapes.
A few years ago, I made a wooden folding chair using a CNC. My professor wanted to try it, so I extended the foot and secured the back legs to prevent it from falling to the floor. 😅
