Nature becomes colour, colour becomes matter.

What drives you to create?

I bring the landscape — my homeland — onto the canvas, seeking to convey the emotion that only direct contact with nature can offer, through works that must be tactile and textured by nature.

What inspires you?

My inspiration comes from the earth itself: olive groves, forests, and the materials I gather from nature. Ash, wood, clay — what begins as a simple spark of inspiration soon becomes a fundamental part of the artwork’s creation, both technically and spiritually.

How do you bring your works to life?

Every piece begins with the material — a three-dimensional pattern made from plaster, salt, ash, charcoal, or wood. I blend, shape, and spread these organic elements onto the canvas. From this base, I begin choosing colours, using natural pigments enhanced with acrylics.

I always paint with my dog by my side — though he often tries to steal my brushes!
The charm of the tunnels that pass through the historic walls, leading into the heart of the city.
