Francesco Fantozzi

I don’t feel worthy of calling myself an Artist, but I have a lot of love for what I create

What drives you to create?

The drive to create is emotion—the deep connection with every shot: between me and my shots there is a digital wall, and yet they are part of me.

What inspires you?

My world is made of extremes: exaggerated contrasts, vivid lights and colours, emotions that scream through the eyes of the characters; my spark is the cry against the void.

How do you bring your works to life?

I adjust my chair, switch off the logical-thought switch, make sure I have enough water, and then I throw myself into the raging river that is my creativity.

If I’m in the middle of a shot that I find particularly engaging, my body becomes chained to my workstation: I even forget to drink until I feel satisfied.
The columns above Porta San Pietro: it may sound banal, but I’ve always loved lying there and watching the rhythm of the city.
