What drives you to create?

The mannequin has always fascinated me, ever since I was very young.
At first, I wasn’t aware of the reason for this attraction, but it later emerged alongside the vision of my first work: complete, ready, only needing to be realised in the real world.
From that moment, while creating, revelations about my past flowed like a raging river, in a weave of lucid concepts and unconscious impulses that revealed themselves in their truth.
My unconscious was speaking to me. That’s when I understood the significance of the mannequin: what better real symbol to communicate to myself — and to others — my desire for control over my life and for liberation from unchosen situations?
Mannequins, perfectly representing our symbolic external reality, revealed to me that beyond the material aspect, there exists a deeper, metaphysical dimension.
And it is precisely through them, along an evolutionary path of writing, reading, meditation, and creation, that over the past fifteen years I have finally been able to spread my wings and rediscover a broader awareness.
This has allowed me to reflect fully on my introverted personality, transforming it into a key feature to resonate through my artworks and cultural activities, with the intent of awakening consciousness on a subject both delicate and little explored.

What inspires you?

My spark comes from the need to express what I observe and have observed in the world without fully living it.
“Art is the expression of a wild spirit in a domestic world.”

How do you bring your works to life?

On some occasions, my works appear complete in my mind; on others, they take shape during the process.
The drawing mannequin is the eternal protagonist of my works, my obsession.
I use wood, plaster, and resin.
I love being immersed in the scent of the materials, feeling so connected to the creative moment that I sense them throughout my body.
I adore symmetry and am fixated on certain numbers, which then emerge in my works.
