What drives you to create?
Creating is how I stay aligned with myself. After years in the corporate world — achieving everything I was “supposed” to — I felt an emptiness only drawing could fill. Art became my way to process change, heal old layers, and stay connected to who I truly am.
What inspires you?
My multicultural journey — Hong Kong, Aotearoa, the UK, Australia, and now Tuscany — constantly shapes my perspective. I’m inspired by identity, reinvention, movement between cultures, the beauty of small details, and the courage it takes to start over in a new country (and in a new language).
How do you bring your works to life?
I move between two energies: the fluidity of watercolour, where colours lead and I follow, and the precision of fine line work — a discipline inherited from my years in tech. I often hide small, unexpected elements inside each piece, quiet invitations for the viewer to look closer.
